These terms apply to your use of doubleatek.com and the free online tools we make available on it (together, the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. Paid services we provide to clients are governed by a separate written service agreement, which takes priority over these terms.
Using the Site
- Use the Site lawfully, and only for your own business's evaluation of IT and security matters.
- Only run a scan or sign-in tool against an organization's systems if you are authorized to do so by that organization.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, probe, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Site or the systems behind it.
Information, not advice
Content on the Site, including snapshots and automated reports, is general information about your IT and security posture. It's provided to help you make decisions. It isn't legal, compliance or insurance advice, and it can't guarantee that your systems are secure or that any incident will be prevented.
Free tools
Free tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change or discontinue them at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Double A Tek will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the Site or free tools. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or free tools is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).
Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, graphics and code belong to Double A Tek or its licensors. You may share links to the Site and print or save reports generated about your own organization.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties such as Microsoft for sign-in. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
